Project Description

In the current state, the interaction between Finnish ICT actors and the EU provides some opportunities and needs for improvement. This feature was discovered as the DEFCoN program conducted a feasibility study to examine the current operations and interactions between Finnish ICT actors and the European Commission. Also collaboration among the domestic actors calls for improvement and utilization of the common synergies.

DEFCoN program has launched activities for improvement of the current state:

• A common seminar in Brussels will be organized for actors from Finland and Brussels in order to share information of plans and objectives In both areas, and in order to create personal contacts between the relevant actors

• A project for improving SMEs' motivation in participating EU research programmes has been launched.

Generally the primary objective of the EU Networking project is to find realistic opportunities for Dimes to support the networked operations. Other objectives are to help the communication flow whenever necessary and to link new parties into the networks.
